Mr Zuckerberg has revealed he is building an AI assistant, much like ‘Jarvis’ from Iron Man

The Facebook founder is working with artificial intelligence after admitting he wants an assistant like JARVIS from the Iron Man films.

Mr Zuckerberg revealed the surprising challenge on his Facebook page.

He said: “My personal challenge for 2016 is to build a simple AI to run my home and help me with my work.

“You can think of it kind of like Jarvis in Iron Man.”

Marvel explored AI through Tony Stark's home computing system.

Despite the dire turn JARVIS took in the films, Mr Zuckerberg was inspired by the invention.

He plans to teach the technology to understand his voice so it can control everything in his home, such as music, lights and temperature.

He also wants to teach the assistant to let friends into his home by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell.

The philanthropist continued: “I'll teach it to let me know if anything is going on in Max's room that I need to check on when I'm not with her.
